Aerts became head of the materials & corrosion department of DSM. & corrosion issues, which had to be solved with all the special demands a challenging production environment provides. Aerts has worked a lot on damage analysis, materials & corrosion research (like stress corrosion cracking of duplex stainless steels), inspections and consultancy work.įrom 1997 to beginning of 2003 he worked in the maintenance department of DSM’s caprolactam plant in Geleen, Netherlands, as manager Plant Engineering.
